Corvallis is about 45 minutes north of Eugene, which is awesome because it's easy to make quick trips down there when I need a Buffalo Exchange fix, really good Thai food, or, best of all a few beers from the Ninkasi Brewery. These photos are from our first trip down to check out the brewery, sometime in November. There is a tasting room inside but it's pretty small, so we opted for the heated porch. There's a food truck in the back too, The Sandwich League, with some incredible grilled cheese and cheesy coleslaw fries that we couldn't pass up. Brian and I both got samplers, which we thoroughly enjoyed--maybe a little too much. My favorite was the Lady of Avalon (surprise, surprise) but I didn't think it through all the way and started off with the Imperiale so let's just say I had to give up my driving home duties ;) There was a little keke roaming around the whole evening and once it got dark she refused to leave us alone, not that I minded one bit. She snuggled and cuddled and even gave me a few licks. It was the perfect way to end a great afternoon. Let's recap shall we? Brian, check. Beer, check. Cheese, check. Keke, check. Yup, Alison's perfect afternoon.
