So I think we are all in agreement here that being sick blows. And not to have a pity party of one, but for me, having a cold REALLY blows. For starters, living with an auto-immune disorder has its own day-to-day nuisances, like I'm constantly tired and my stomach hurts about 60% of the time. Smack me with a cold and my immune system goes even more haywire. Add to that most cold medicines contain huge doses of vitamin-C which upsets your stomach.

However, the only reason I am sick is because I had incredibly perfect day up on the mountain on Tuesday sooooooo it's basically worth it. I haven't been snowboarding in about 12 years and I really wanted to go again, since Brian loves it, so we finally found a day we could go up together. His roomies came along and we made the 2 hour trek to Hoodoo. Brian spent the morning with me on the bunny hill, teaching me how to stop and turn, and we were able to do a few runs. It was awesome. We met up with the boys for lunch and afterward I sent Bri off with them to enjoy manly things, like jumps and steep hills and nonsense like that. I, on the other hand, opted for my laptop, hot cocoa with baileys, and catching up on season 7 of Dexter warm in the lodge. Seriously, though it was perfect. A local brewery in Bend even had a couple taps in the lodge bar so I indulged in a beer as well.

On the way home we stopped at a dive in Lebanon (a little town outside Corvallis) and had another round of beers, this time because the boys had raced down the mountain and loser had to buy a round. I could begin to feel the sore throat creeping in at this point and when we got home I hopped straight into bed. Brian put on the second disc of The Two Towers and I was snoring soon after. It really was the perfect day. I also knocked off two of my 27 before 28 tasks--snowboarding and watching the LOTR trilogy. We're halfway through so I guess I can't cross it allll the way off yet, but we started Return of the King last night, so we're close!

ps. Sorry again that absolutely none of that has anything to do with my outfit. I'm a creep.
